Upper and lower case letters in name

The practice of Companies House when issuing the Certificate of Incorporation (under section 13 of the Companies Act 1985) is to print the company name entirely in upper case letters. (So for example, the name 'e-Business Systems Ltd.' would appear on the Certificate of Incorporation as 'E-BUSINESS SYSTEMS LTD.'). It is quite acceptable however, for the company to render its name (e.g. in business documents and signage etc.) using lower case letters. For example, if a company's name on its Certificate of Incorporation were shown as 'SMITH ENTERPRISES LIMITED' the company may, for instance, use 'Smith Enterprises Limited'.
